Rates and Terms
I solve 87% of my calls in under an hour and the average long call is 2.5 hours. I always work quickly as I am more interested in return customers and good referrals than a quick buck so I am not out to milk it. I charge the same rates regardless of job. From assembling your new entertainment center and programming your remote(s) to fixing your satellite dish or your computer it is all the same to me. I charge $30 for my first hour and $12.50 an hour after that. I have a one hour minimum but charge by the 1/4 hour after. (i.e. If I am there for an hour and a half I will charge $30 for the first hour and $6.25 for the half hour for a total of $36.25. I maintain my one hour minimum charge as it takes fuel to get to and from a client location and if I get there and fix the problem in ten minutes it is hardly worth the $3.13 charge for a quarter hour. IN THE EVENT I CAN NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY A MINIMUM CHARGE OF $15.00. There are cases where a printer can not be fixed, a hard drive is no longer functioning, mother board has fried, device has permanently failed, etc., and the client can not afford to fix the problem, or may choose some other option. Although this is not the fault of either party, my time is valuable and so is my advice and it is a rare occasion that I cannot fix the problem I am called out for. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT THE $30 MINIMUM FIRST HOUR CHARGE IS DUE UPON ARRIVAL. In the event I cannot solve your problem I will return your balance minus the minimum charge mentioned earlier. Credit/Debit card and business check customers will have their balance returned via mail in the form of a Money Order and will have to wait 3-5 business days as payment must be processed and a Money Order issued. NON CASH CUSTOMERS RECEIVING A REFUND WILL ALSO BE CHARGED A $2 TRANSACTION FEE TO COVER PAYMENT PROCESSING. IT COSTS ME TO PROCESS YOUR PAYMENT AND TO SEND BACK YOUR REFUND AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO ABSORB THE COSTS AND STAY IN BUSINESS. CASH, CREDIT/DEBIT CARD OR BUSINESS CHECK ONLY, NO PERSONAL CHECKS. For those concerned with getting their full moneys worth, I do not start the clock until I start working on the problem so taking care of payment is not on your time.
Emergency Service
My normal business hours our Monday through Friday 11 AM to 4 PM Eastern Standard Time and Saturdays from Noon to 3 PM. Sundays, Holidays and the day after the Holiday are outside my normal business hours. My terms for hire are the same but my rates vary. Please note these hours and rates do not apply to those I have made an appointment with that is outside of my normal business hours. I charge $65 for my first hour and $20 an hour after billed by 15 minute increments so each quarter hour is $5. There is still a minimum one hour charge and if it is a problem not solvable or one that the client wishes to solve in some other manner there is still a $25 charge. All other terms of service above apply to emergency service as well. Other than Sundays the following dates are Holidays that would incur an emergency service charge. January 1st and 2nd 18th and 19th (Martin Luther King)- April 4th and 5th (Easter) - May 31st and June First (Memorial day) - June 18th and 19th (My Birthday, and yes it is a holiday to me) - July 4th and 5th - September 6th and 7th (Memorial Day) - October 31st and November 1st (Halloween) - November 11th and 12th (Veterans Day) November 25th and 26th (Thanksgiving)December 24th 25th and 26th and December 31st and January 1st. These are the days that I recognize and declare as outside of my normal business hours so you know in advance. Now if I schedule and appointment with you on one of these days by my own choosing then regular rates apply, but if you call and say I need you now today with no prior contact of commitment, emergency service fees will be charged.My Contact Information
