About my Career Achievements
I am fortunate that in my life I have had the honor to lead the way in Internet Technologies, not only in my own community, but across the US as well. Below you find links to websites, some still existing, some no longer around, that have been part of the monumental work I have done to make the World Wide Web a more interesting place. Thanks in part to a Technology called the WayBack Machine, you can still view much of my early work on sites that although no longer exist, are still viewable through their archives. I hope you will enjoy viewing my accomplishments over the years as much as I have enjoyed doing them.
My Outstanding Acheivements
First TV Appearance as a Technology Expert
While working with The New TV, which is something you will learn about later on this page, I made my first Television Appearance as an expert on technology for our local news station. You can watch the video here to see what it was all about.
Video Ebay
I performed what was the very first auction to use video on Ebay in the first quarter of 2001 and not only was it video, it was live video for the last hour of the auction. Ebay users still incorporate video into their descriptions in some cases and Ebay itself uses the live video technology for their auctions, but I was the first and even used the technology to sell Don Kings Limousine on the site a few years back.
Called as an expert witness
Although I can not go into any details in regards to the cases I have been called in as an expert in the fields of Internet video, web site operations and Internet technologies in both the states of Pennsylvania and Texas. Although I can't speak of specific cases, I do have some impressive references from lawyers I have worked with.
WYW FM Space Coast Internet Radio
Although this is now just a memory in the Wayback Machine at the Internet Archives it was my first big endeavor into online media. I was working at a computer company in Florida and doing seminars across the state for Computer User Groups, Colleges and Universities. There are still articles (pages 3-4) floating around the web that were written about me. I gave away a fantastic piece of Internet Software that allowed users to query all the know search engines on the planet at one time. Of course this was a great tool for college students. I distributed an ebook that I wrote as well to help people go online and understand the Internet better. Pioneering technologies I was using at the time included providing video tutorials over the web to help teach basing computing and the ability to chat with anyone on any instant messenger system through one interface making it easier for online radio personalities to communicate with viewers.
The New TV
To list the accomplishments, technological firsts and achievements I made while at this start up would take up pages so Ill just stick to the highlights. The New TV pioneered the use of online video to do many new and incredible things. I transmitted the first Live video feed over the cellular network in 2004 and made Youngstown Ohio the first community in the World to put their local public government meetings online and make them available to the public. Los Angeles California was the next place to adopt this strategy and now it is all over the US. We made front page local headlines immediately upon opening and have a wall of letters from congressman, senators, representative, public officials and other as to the power and value of my work in Webcasting. Our main channel site The Youngstown Cannel won awards across the globe for innovation, design and technology making it one of the most well known and respected websites in the county. Unfortunately two tech guys, partnered with an inexperienced and stubborn investor left us sitting for dead with a bunch of great ideas and no way to do anything with them. A case of live and learn.
Have A Cause
Other than being founder and Chairman of the Board of this organization, I believe my crowning achievement here is the fact that I designed all the technology behind the refit we hope to use in these structures. The concepts I have created here are sending some ripples through the environmental community and we plan on doing big things not only with these, but other new discoveries I have made as well.
I hope to be adding more great accomplishments here as time goes on, but for now this will have to do. I put these here not to impress, but to inform my clients on what level of experience they will be getting when they hire me. I am not the college student designing out of his dorm, or the kid next door, or my buddies son who needs some extra money. I am a tried and true seasoned professional who will give you what you really need from a web site developer and implementer. In today's world the Internet is everywhere, and everything and for businesses who want to stay on top of their game it will not be easy, nor will it be as cheap as the kid next door.
