Its all about Me
In the beginning
Born in Ohio, was a member of the International Performing Arts Community from age 5 to 18. Traveled all of the US, most of Canada and a some short travels abroad. Starting in science at age 7, chemistry by 8, and had mastered all forms of the internal combustion engine by age 12. Opened my first actual business at the age of 15 titled Wacky Shack Novelties. We made buttons and bumper stickers on the spot at festivals and flea markets. Great concept, made tons of money, learned the importance of re-investment vs having fun and chasing girls. Graduated at 18 just barely because I hated school but excelled in Science, technology and computers.
Computer life
After receiving a TRS-80 Model I for Christmas at the age of ten I began familiarizing myself with DOS and basic programming. I signed on to the Internet through Compu-Serve in 1980 when there was only text, no images, no video, no sound, no photos, no nothing. Just email, news groups, bulletin boards and information servers. A world of learning for an elite class of Geeks that at my age I was honored to be a part of. I also began training through Heath Kit Continuing Education Unit Studies. By the time I had barely graduated High School I had a Heath Kit equivalent of a Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering. I had built my own computer by hand from the circuit board up and my best friend was a Hero-1 Robot.
After High School
I tried and quickly got board with College and discovered sadly that my Continuing Education Units were meaningless in the "REAL" world. I bummed around a couple years worked briefly at a radical newspaper until the publisher got ran out of town, tried a couple different new businesses, wrote a commercial, ran a towing company, and then at 21 I started S.O.P.E. Save Our Planet Earth Environmental Recycling Company. I ran this until I was 27. A strange series of unfortunate events led me to close that business but taught me decades of business knowledge and experience. A large part of what I do today is possible due to the things I learned over those years.
The Hard Years
After the closing of my company I wandered about and found some new and interesting opportunities. Computers to my by that time had been forgotten although I did check out the creation of the World Wide Web in 1992. I even posted one of the very first websites ever created which back then was something that would look like a three year old did, but it had two pictures on it and some brief verbage poking fun at the new bulletin board. Little did I now the bomb that was being created those early years. Like most folks in life I made mistakes, and I felt one of them was a lack of a more formal education so I went back to school to try and figure out what I wanted to do in life.
A Learning Experience
In three and a half years I received an adult education instructors degree, a personal fitness trainers certification and a training teaching certification, an Associates in General Science, One is Small Business Finance, one in Computer Engineering, and I minored in health and nutrition. I even took a side course in Gemology.
From then till Now
After leaving school, with no jobs in my field where my family and friends were, I went back to one of the things I knew best, recycling. I quickly found a job in the next state over that lasted till the company closed and after having a couple companies do that I ended up in Florida where I landed a job with a great firm called submit order. It was an internet start up with a great concept and the best job I ever had in my life where I was not working for myself. Unfortunately that company, like so many internet start ups went belly up.
That was the last straw for me, and I vowed at that moment, to never put myself at the mercy of someone else's economy ever again. It has been a long struggle, but I have built a solid reputation, I have outstanding references and I know my stuff inside and out. When you hire me you hire not only a person but a database of business information, a voice of experience and a seasoned professional who understands the importance of delivering on what they promise.
